LeBron James let down a lot of people today

The people of Cleveland, the people of Chicago, the people of New York,

and the one season ticket holder that matters, Clipper Darrell.

but one person who wasnt expected to be disappointed was me, and that weird special was such a bummer it bummed me out for a good two hours.

first of all, where was the production, ESPN? youre dedicating an hour in prime time and thats all you give us? the interview was horrible, the questions and answers were dull, and the buildup was stiffer than King James’ delivery.

but worst of all, the two time MVP put on a huge special to let the world know he was bailing out on his home town for the skimpy shores of South Beach.

and people call us in LA superficial.

Lebron is a hired gun now, not a hometown hero. And he’s not even shrewd – he lost out on $20 in salary.

People say Cleveland isnt a “major market” and bron-bron is missing out on endorsement deals, but ESPN had no problem reeling off one well-seen commercial after another.

People know who LeBron is.

But the best thing that this inspired was a full force guarantee from the principal owner of the shunned Cavs. at the heart of that web statement was this:

You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

“I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE”

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our “motivation” to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works.

LeBron just went from Kirby Puckett to Reggie Jackson.

he will be booed.

and the booing began tonight.
