this is what it looked like after the tornado touched down



and since it happened around 5:30pm, everyone had their cameras rolling

trucks overturned

college boys freaked

Gothamist, of course, has some pretty great coverage, lots of pics (including hail in Williamsburg), videos, and funny comments (“STROLLERGEDDON”)

  1. that last video is the best.  At first it is sort of reminscent of Double Rainbow Guy, but then it quickly becomes Holy Shit Dude when they look at the tree for the last time.  Whoah
