goats who eat weeds off the 500 days of Summer knoll.
goats who are paid several thousand dollars to eat weeds off a hill.
anyways the most interesting part about the whole craziness of all of it
is that all the photos in the story are from the new iPhone.
at least thats what i find the most interesting part.
because someday lots of journalism will be done
with and from a smart phone.

i think the reason that so many people were disappointed by LeBron’s decision to fly the coop and move his talents to Miami
is because so many people believed that there was something different about LeBron
so many (of us) thought that because he is so special on the court
that he would also be as dazzling and miraculous off the court.
turns out he’s just like us: distracted by the shiny things
and not as appreciative as we should be about whats real.

sorta wonderful.
the piece is good too.
and its recycleable

and they say nothing on this blog is true.

The people of Cleveland, the people of Chicago, the people of New York,
and the one season ticket holder that matters, Clipper Darrell.
but one person who wasnt expected to be disappointed was me, and that weird special was such a bummer it bummed me out for a good two hours.
first of all, where was the production, ESPN? youre dedicating an hour in prime time and thats all you give us? the interview was horrible, the questions and answers were dull, and the buildup was stiffer than King James’ delivery.
but worst of all, the two time MVP put on a huge special to let the world know he was bailing out on his home town for the skimpy shores of South Beach.
and people call us in LA superficial.
Lebron is a hired gun now, not a hometown hero. And he’s not even shrewd – he lost out on $20 in salary.
People say Cleveland isnt a “major market” and bron-bron is missing out on endorsement deals, but ESPN had no problem reeling off one well-seen commercial after another.
People know who LeBron is.
But the best thing that this inspired was a full force guarantee from the principal owner of the shunned Cavs. at the heart of that web statement was this:
You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.
You have given so much and deserve so much more.
In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:
“I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE”
You can take it to the bank.
If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our “motivation” to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.
Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.
Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works.
LeBron just went from Kirby Puckett to Reggie Jackson.
he will be booed.
and the booing began tonight.
.. after six years

guess who is now single?

From our Show Tracker tv blog:
Octavia Nasr, CNN’s senior editor of Mideast affairs, lost her post Wednesday amid mounting criticism of a message she posted on Twitter expressing sadness at the death of a Lebanese cleric who once was an influential spiritual leader of the Shiite militant group Hezbollah.
Nasr, who had worked for the cable news network for two decades, had already apologized in a blog post on CNN.com for “an error in judgment” in writing that Ayatollah Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah was “one of Hezbollah’s giants I respect a lot” after his death Sunday.
Just one more warning that as amazing and informative and as delightful as the Internet is, and blogging, and tweeting can be
it can end your job. quickly. swiftly. just ask Dooce, and now ask Ms. Nasr.
so whats the lessson? think twice before you tweet, especially if its in relation to your gig.
as they used to say at the beginning of Hill Street Blues – be careful out there.
my biggest problem with them is i dont find them entertaining enough.
if they popped out telling jokes, juggling, doing sleight-of-hand tricks, then fine, sign me up.
but they dont. they come out hungry, soiled, and wanting.
they wont even speak to you for the first year or two. then they wont stop.
dont we have televisions? arent some even in 3D?
anyways, if i could be assured that 20 years after giving birth to a son that he would do this to me and my beloved, and then film it, and then edit it so that there would be picture-in-picture, then YES i would reproduce my incredible seed.
until then i will have to just keep watching this repeatedly and laughing.
because soon i’ll be dieting

and on the wall they have pictures of people who tried and succeeded in eating a two pound cheeseburger in one sitting.
almost everyone on the wall were dudes.
some were babies
none were me.
me i ate a 1/2 pound burger and nearly died on the way home because my belly is not used to red meat as i am all about the white meat and fish
any way it was delish
