I see the city in a very personal way and I wanted to show Los Angeles the way I grew up in it.

I love that there are still sections of the Sunset Strip without high-rises.

That you can be at a farmers market surrounded by 1920s Craftsman homes

and then halfway down the street is a ninety-nine-cent store.

The way the dust catches the light, how green it is.

not at all what i expected.

i recommend that if you wanna go, you go soon because you dont want people to ruin it for you and they always do. this is one that people are bound to ruin.

all i gotta say is i heard one theatre booed. ours didnt clap. but the truest and i liked it. maybe me more than she. but im easily amused.

he was sick but you wouldnt know it, he was so funny, and at times so wonderful

he made a few mistakes and said “damn it” but people just loved him more

he played some completely non-PC songs that most of us had heard before, but it was still shocking

and he had so many killer tunes that he didnt play any covers and his biggest hit wasnt even the last tune

he totally made fun of the huge Pixar movie that made him famous among children

it was terribly romantic and also hilarious and intimate and no bs.

we had horrible seats but we sat next to this couple who were so nice. the man even turned us on to this raucus version of God’s Song righteously delivered by Etta James, so see everything happens for reasons.
