Greg

has a masters in art. after noticing in isla vista that he was always taking little sly pics at parties, i became interested in taking pics myself. he has an amazingly talented wife, who is very cool, a killer house and is the best unsigned guitarist in all of los angeles. so, who better to copy?

oh, and he just posted his pics from kim and ken’s birthdays. and from his trip to the Getty right before the Tsar show last monday.

one of those olde school french guys

said that Want is the root of sufferring. i say it’s lack of friends. last night i got to hang with some very cool people who i used to work with who seemed way more like friends than coworkers. and everyone looked better than ever. and even though i brought my camera i didnt take it out cuz some nights you should just be with people and chill – otherwise you end up with pics like the one on today’s front page. ha!

afterwards me and karisa were doing cartwheels down 6th street in santa monica and she pointed out the fact that i do mine lefty, something i never knew before. see, kids, you never know when youre going to learn valueable information – or where.

major props to cormac who paid for my drinks (kamakazi’s and beers), francesca who organized the mini-reunion, and “Cherrie” who slipped me her phone number while i was waiting to get into the men’s room. when i have a life, the website suffers, so my apologies, but i hope you can understand.

once again

i found my hand down the pants of a new girl and i gotta ask you, what is up with the totally shaved girls these days? quick fact: as long as theres not a penis down there, guys are perfectly satisfied with what you have. shave, don’t shave, sorta shave, we’re gonna be stoked, so don’t sweat it.

Happy Birthday to a man who knows a thing or two about the ladies: Mr. David Lee Roth was born on this day in 1955.

on a totally different note, some of Ashley’s friends went to Century City on Friday and saw the first lady of funk: Drew Barrymore. the bubbly Mrs. Tom Green was at the Century City Mall to autograph the book, “Riding in Cars with Boys” and Anne took a bunch of pictures. click here and use the >>’s to navigate.

back in march

my very good friend karisa told me not to be afraid of being single, that i’d have a good time and i wonder if she knew that thered be nights like last night where tsar rocked in a way that we havent seen in quite a while and everywhere you looked at the sold out spaceland there were super good friends and totally hot chicks. like everywhere. a couple of them flew out from carolina and ended up at my house showing me their tattoos and insisting that they had been to this very website. and all was good in the hood.

even after the shots of goldshlager. even after the bud light. even after everyone cleared out.

even after the photos were taken, even after the upset stomachs were soothed, even after the neighbors didnt complain for throwing an after concert bash at my humble abode in hollywood the beautiful where the toughest desicion of the night is wondering whether to ask said carolinians if they could remove their boots and heels cuz the noise it was making on the hardwood floors would certainly wake the neighbors – if not the scientologists – but then deciding that you’re only middleaged once, leave em on, ladies, and sometimes life is better than you deserve it to be.

after this weekend’s contributions. THANK YOU PEOPLE. Since I’m not so good with sarcasm, i dont know if one of the people who sent me a buck was serious when they emailed me asking, “what else can i do to help?” well, you could tell your friends. and if they have any questions, have them go to the FAQ.

this just in:

tp.com has just learned that people puked at Denis and Sandy’s wedding!

Q. how could this be? A. there was lots of booze and lots of mexican food and lots of laughing and plenty of beach in which to either slip away and mack or slip away and yack. here’s who did the latter, thanks to our inside sources: J. Frances at Elsie’s, M. Danner at their hotel room, and Shira felt inclined to yak for some time, but did not, and quickly sobered up. im sure the list was longer, but the fellas are more sly with their upchuckings, apparently.

yes this is more information than you probably hoped for, but i am making up for the lack of info that these all-news stations are giving us regarding this so called war on drugs, or evil-doers, or communism, or whatever they call it this time.

ISLAVISTA

– Fucking rad here. I want to move back. I took some pictures that i uploaded to a yahoo picture gallery. yes, im a dork. its easier this way, though, trust me.

i rooted against bonds all year long and sent out as many bad vibes as i could. i had him on the badasses and traded him. i had plenty of homers and i needed a catcher and got him for Piazza. this was like in mid may when he already had twenty homers and i needed a catcher and already had sosa and giles in the outfield. you can always pick up another outfielder, but always get sosa. (yes, i won two leagues this year.)

its saturday, noon, i just read the daily nexus, which is terrible, im sorry to say, other than the opinoin section. the art’s section looked good, but do you really need a full page for a twenty inch review of serendipity? whatever. it’s still better than the Times.

i posted a topic for discussion on Metafilter

before I went off to lunch, and when I came back, it had been taken down. That makes me feel creepy. And now I’m disappointed, cuz i like that site.

I said, “Barry Bonds tied Mark McGwire’s home run record last night, how do you feel about it? Personally, I hope he slips in the shower before tonight’s game.”

Do the brilliant webmasters at Metafilter think that because I write an opinoin, it will somehow come true? And what if I really do feel that way – which i do, by the way – am I not allowed to have my feelings? Anyway, as a wise man once said, “if you’re not getting censored, you’re not trying.” Amen to that, Sonny I.V.

i get a lot of mail and i love it all

and i apologize for not replying quicker, but if you must have an answer fast, it’s good to try me at my hotmail account, psycho, i know.

the biggest compaint that i have received this week is that i dont write much about commuting, here, on this alleged Bus Blog, and i havent been filling you in on the juicy details of Tall Skinny Girl, who i did ride with – and ignore – during my morning bus/train journey yesterday.

this morning, however, i got a super late start and i didnt get to Vermont/Sunset until 8:38 – way too late. magically the train arrived and got us to Wilshire/Vermont just in time for the Wilshire/Western train to pull in a tad early – another miracle occured when that train actually WAITED for us to run down the stairs. Still I had to get to work in about 10 minutes or be late!

we emerge from the subway and i contemplate taking a taxi the 13 blocks but an empty-ish red Rapid bus arrived and i hopped on it. Get off two stops later at Wilshire/LaBrea walk a block and theres the orange 21 right on my heels. How do i deserve such convenience? It drops me off right in front of my secret office building, i get in the elevator which sports one of those cool flat screen tv-like deals that tells me how my stocks are doing, but most importantly the time. it’s always time to get ill, but especially when it reveals that i am only ten minutes late – quite a feat: GOD BLESS YOU MTA!

(now do you see why i keep the commuting news to a minimum?) in other news, i noticed that many subway riders are now wearing earplugs to lessen the pain as the cars screech between Wilshire/Beverly en route to Wilshire/Vermont. who says Los Angelinos will sacrifice usefullness for image? not so underground, they look like dorks but at least they dont have to clean up the blood off their shoulders from their savaged ear drums.
