ive been in this closet all day.

pony first thing i did was put together the much anticipated interview of kristin as delivered by steve from adrants.

i was halfway done when kristin saw the pictures i was using and was very disappointed. i dont think she understands that most people see her as a beautiful girl inside and outside. maybe she does. who knows.

at some point i realized that i didnt have any pictures of steve and then i realized that you guys probably are happy about that, so i just kept on doing what i was doing.

then i put together the interview on lick between ms. kitty bukkake and ms. sara k. smith.

a long time ago i lived on haight street with ken layne and others. one of the others was mr dan. mr dan found a lovely lady named sara and in no time she became the one and only sara k smith.

of all the people on the internet that i wish i could write like, it would be sara.

dan sent in some pics of his girl but not very many so i had to collect a few more from some shady characters.

kitty bukkake lives near me. during the blogosphere thingamawho someone handed her the mic and she announced who she was and everyone looked and applauded. kitty’s hot. and she writes a hot blog.

hopefully she wont mind that one of the pics i used of her was one she took topless after running and nearly winning the boston marathon.

then i did whatever it is that i do with the five new peices for lick. then i took the last thing that got submitted to lick this week and made it the preface.

then i changed the table of contents.

then i wrote this.

im so beat you dont even know.

i am pretty sure i have forgotten to include a few peices to lick. if thats the case, just email them again to me and at the end of this week they will be up. i do sorta suck.

it’s 1:51 at 9pm i told this cute girl to come over and lay in my bed and at 1:30am i would wake her, and she didnt take me up on that terribly inviting offer which is just as well cuz i would have been 21 minutes late.

i have found my leader.

menounoshes crazy and he knows the names of states. i dont know what he stands for but the republicans seem to fear him and thats enough for me.

is he coked up? probably. should he be? of course. is it right to elect a president for pure entertainment? isnt that why we voted for arnold?

hot girl got on the web cam today while i was trying to observe mlks birthday.

she said she wanted to show me her bosom.

i told her that first i wanted to show her my loins.

my loins photograph large and impressive.

so i fired up the cam and she fired up hers and there we were naked on the internet again.

i want that she typed.

it typed that it wanted her too.

she said but my ass is so big and my tits are so little.

and i put the camera up to my head and i said but im going bald

and she put the camera up to her head and she said but i havent gotten my roots did in weeks.

and i put the camera up to my face and squooshed my head back into my neck and i said but what about my double chin

and she put the camera up her thighs and complained of cellulite

so i lifted my shirt and said look at my spare tire

and its hairy!

she said you dont even know how adorable you are do you

i said you dont know how much i need you and lust you do you and she said no

so i let it type some things and she smiled

then i said come, come here

and she said ok.

and then she told me about some boy at work that she likes

all while topless

with her hand down in the darkness

and a leg up on an empty keg

wearing a busblog trucker hat

completely obvlivious that i was madly in love

with the internet.

bella ella + the ward + gods lonely man

today is steph and lolas

jokeone year blog birthday. if it wasnt for their blog i would never have seen a picture of my future wife. hi future wife.

hi tony.

i dont need a lot to keep me happy. just everything. im watching the football playoffs. i hate pretty much everyone in the afc so youve gotta root for the black coach.

and i hate everyone in the nfc playoffs. so you gotta root for the black quarterback.

too bad they all cant lose.

the cheerleader wants to come over and make up with me. i think i was spoiled when i was younger. i dated a bunch of girls who could emmerse themselves with me and they were young and not overwhelmed with responsibilites and impressed with my mediocrity. and forgiving thanks to my youthful good looks.

i had a chance to get a two year extended warranty for my dvd burner which i shoulda gotten and i could get tonight but im lazy. its just money. im just a dummy. if i wasnt lazy id get flagrants tread mill and start working out so future wife wouldnt get squooshed when i collapsed on her after a strenuous session.

in a perfect world i would work for ronco and make george forman grill type things for him.

there needs to be a sit up machine called the six-pack maker.

xm radio needs to put a harddrive on their receivers so you could have tivo for your radio.

tivo needs to charge a dollar more per month to sportsfans who watch playoff football and who arent around to record the overtime session.

and double overtime session.

if i was smart i would go back at selling tvs, now that everyone is about to start buying plasma tvs in droves

and hd tvs

and plasma monitors for their computers.

and for their dvd players in their hummers.

if i was smart i would help open up a store that focused just on tvs and monitors for the home and auto. of course we’d sell directv setups and tivos and dvd recorders and 6.1 audio systems, but the focus would be on the “monitors” since they are going for thousands and thousands of dollars.

and since i know everything about selling tvs.

and installing them.

if, when howard stern begins to revolutionize satalite radio, he just gets his own channel, he should seriously consider rerunning his morning show in the evening for those of us who would like to listen to it after 7pm since most of his audience is either getting ready for work or at work during his 6a – 10a hours of broadcast.

i know i would listen.

steph does southbeach + digital tavern + moxie

i try not to think about the popularity or influence of the busblog

pool

because all that sort of thinking will do is make you not write things.

today is no exception.

today i got an email from a loyal reader who gave me the link to pictures, an address, and a telephone number of kobe’s accuser.

but since i dont know if those pics are really her, it would be crappy for me to put that link on here.

even for all 1,000 of you who frequent this url daily.

but especially for the 10,000 + who would instantly find this site if i posted it thanks in part to Google, or the 100,000+ of your friends who you’d forward the link to.

crazy thing is… if the busblog only got 50 hits a day, i would totally post the link, and maybe the pics, which makes no sense because then those pics would get spread nearly as easilly.

i would do it in hopes that traffic would then increase on my site and catapult me into “A-list” bloggers.

like drudge.

who for some reason isnt posting the pictures.

probably because it isnt confirmed.

not that that ever really mattered to drudge before.

but apparently the popularity of his site has probably reached a level that now he’s probably afraid of getting his worthless ass sued.

i have no money, im not afraid of being sued, but this blog isnt based around rumors and gossip, like drudge’s, so in a way im disappointed that he isnt doing what he does… uh… best.

which is spreading rumor and untruths like a little worm.

but on the other hand, maybe he has grown up a little and has decided that a young blonde girl’s prom picture and home address and home phone number isnt worthy of a few thousand hits.

nice work, retard.

now why dont you dig up some real news today, like how bush knew about 9/11 and how he lied to get us into a war, and how he hasnt found osama or saddam.

for starters.

newsbitch.

i think im being honored here, but my italian is only semi-good-o + blackmask

the only guy who had a better day than me yesterday

me was a fella named ev who sold his three and a half year old company, Blogger, to Google and got to announce it live from the blogoshpere in a packed crowd of hipsters and nerds in an overflow event on a sidestreet in Chinatown.

wanna know how cool ev is?

motherfucker’s sitting three chairs over from me, theres hundreds of people looking at him, but they are slightly distracted by another member of the panel who’s discussing the world of blogging. the attention comes back to Ev and he says, “oh, can someone put my blog on the screen again please, im sorry.”

fucker had gotten a call on his cellphone, but, being the gentleman didn’t answer it. instead, he checked his email via the wireless network that was in the building, updated his blog live and linked to the silconvalley.com column that broke the story that Google was buying Pyra Labs, the San Fransisco company behind Blogger.

and then he told us.

everyone cheered, as Ev was answering what was announced to be the last question of the two hour discussion that included Doc Searls, Heather from the Rabbit blog, Boing Boing’s founder Mark Frauenfelder, the Reverse Cowgirl Susannah Breslin, and yours truly who didn’t say fuck even once.

that’s the only reason that i can figure that the los angeles times reporter who was assigned to cover the Live from the Blogoshpere story chose to interview me directly after the incredibly wonderful event, instead of talking to the only person in the house who has suddenly become a millionaire and a validated success right before our eyes.

while wearing a blogger tshirt.

while looking reportedly so cute that my ex, chris, and my laywer giggled the whole night and snapped picture after picture of him and blushed and covered their mouths with their hands.

It was the coolest culmination and synchronicity, wirelessness, and instantaneous publishing.

– evan williams2/16/03 1:28pm

me and evwhy is that quote on the busblog and not in today’s sunday la times? and why isn’t it on latimes.com?

la times got to read Dan Gilmore’s scoop before it even went to press! they were in the house! the story was there. the founder of the company was there. lots of other sources were there too. i would imagine that the la times had a camera and were taking pictures of the event, including when the founder made his grand announcement on this, his first trip to Los Angeles.

“see what happens when you come to LA,” i shouted in the microphone a few seconds after he broke the news to us all.

if you want to know why Google bought Blogger look no further than this very story.

Dan Gilmore published his scoop at 7:41pm on his blog, Ev linked to it on his blog at 9:10pm, metafilter published the link to Gilmore’s story at 10:08pm, followed by Ken Layne, and then Azeem Azhar, Rick Bruner, Henry Copeland, Anil Dash, Nick Denton, Jeff Jarvis, Shelley Powers, Mitch Ratcliffe, Emmanuelle Richard, Matt Webb, Slashdot, and even Chinese bloggers.

Still, because no major news source other than the SJ Mercury (who Gilmore writes for) has published the story, Google’s (beta) News page only ranks it as the number 2 result, even though it’s own data says that the Merc’s story is fresher than the link that is getting the #1 return.

The value of Blogger to Google is, if Google had a faster access to blogs, it would have seen all the activity (above) pointing to Gilmore’s blog, and to the Merc article, and to Ev’s page and would have basically figured out that it’s news.

Right now, even though the humans running it know that it’s news, their own computers don’t even know that it is happening.

So what’s the LA Times’ excuse?

They were there.

And so was MC Brown who takes wonderful pictures, except when theyre of me.

Thanks to Michael August Pusateri who took a great picture of me (above, speaking on the panel) feeling on top of the world, stoked to finally meet so many people who i admire and who’s blogs i read.

Thanks to everyone who were nice enough to come up and said hi to me, thanks to the nice ladies who invited me to speak with such excellent and smart adults, and thanks for my pals for eating slippery shrimp before and getting drunk with me after.

It was a night i wont soon forget.

Doc Searls

my wrist was sore from typing and i rubbed it while i listened to my publisher take a call

kurdt he chewed on a blueberry muffin. it was 7pm.

century city at night is a beautiful place. if you’re a lawyer. if you have a mercedes waiting for you. if you have a receptionist in pressed pants right outside your door. if you’re on the phone hearing good news. if you’re on the other side of the desk. if your name is larry.

century city at night is a scary place if your name is tony and you’re not sure which bus you should take home.

he hung up the phone, lowered his glasses down his nose and looked at me.

“how many pre-orders did we get.”

ten.

“ten? that’s bad.”

i thought to myself that ten was awesome. a hundred bucks plus shipping in my account just cuz i typed some words in a software program promising something that everyone knew didn’t exist yet. ten was incredible.

“the book is going to fail, tony. it’s not even a book if all you have is ten on the first day. deepak chopra had thousands of presales in his first day.”

larry had financed the new age doctor’s self published book way back when.

i considered asking the publisher to show me the web page that deepak used, but i passed. i also passed on signing the papers in front of me.

“don’t be an asshole tony.”

larry wanted to “front” me $1,000 and make a book that actually looked like a book. then he wanted to take that book to a real publisher. then he wanted 30% of whatever i would make out of the busblog book.

i told him he had a blueberry in his tooth.

“nobody makes any money publishing themselves. how many books have you published? i’ve published 30 just this year.”

a diamond sparkled in his earlobe under a tuft of gray hair. he threw around that word like it meant something. i had never read any of the books he talked about. i hadn’t even heard of the authors. plus most of his titles were non fiction. the rest were porn. dull porn. who writes dull porn?

i took a piece of paper from the waste basket.

i wrote: I, Larry S., will give Tony Pierce $1,000. Tony will put my name on the back of the book. Tony will consider this an advertisement. Larry can call himself the publisher of the book that is currently titled “The Busblog Book.” Larry will receive no monetary benefits from this book and there is no agreement currently for any future earnings on this book or any others written by Tony.”

clintonsthen i signed it and i slid it over to him.

he read it and balled it up.

“why do you want to be an asshole?”

i wanted to be an asshole because i couldnt believe i had found myself in this position. i knew better than this.

“you think you’re an artist. you’re not an artist. you know how many artists there are? five. and they’re all broke.”

larry had his opinions about things and he kept his door cracked so the skinny redhead right outside could be impressed with his theories. he spoke past me to her. he treated me like a kid. that part i didn’t mind. i counted how many times he called me an asshole and i tried to get the number up. i would take a shot of rum later for each good one.

we were up to ten.

“nobody in the world would accept this sort of bullshit deal.” he told me.

i wished i had known which import he was driving so i could take the elevator downstairs and let the air out of his tires.

i thought about the redhead. how could i get a date with her. surely she had hit bad times if she worked for this guy for more than a day.

i had seen her there each visit that i made there. sad sad blue eyes. pale skin. she stood when i came in. she remembered that i didn’t drink coffee or tea and always had a water with no lemon with ice waiting for me when i arrived for these meetings of two amateurs salivating over the hundred pages.

“i don’t need your advertising. i don’t even need you, quite frankly. you need me. my brother does your taxes i know exactly how little money you make. you cannot finance this yourself. and if you do it will look shoddy and cheap and you will never find a big time publisher like what i got for deepak.”

i wondered what the woman looked like who got naked for him. everyone has someone who loved them.

i thought about who loved me.

about the people who got naked for me.

about the girls who did stuff and seemed to like doing stuff.

i thought about the times when i was being joe businessman and talking shit and the times when i was being an asshole and how they weren’t that different of characters. but both were not tony. sweet tony. happy tony. happy tony could make magical things happen too.

larry flipped through the manuscript and looked at me and leaned back and said, “you’re not even that great of a writer.”

every single teacher who had ever given me a C minus came to my consciousness.

larry hadn’t realized it but he relaxed me with that comment. i was in familiar territory. suddenly i knew how i would get out of this room.

i know im not a great writer, larry. i said softly.

he chuckled thinking he had broken me. but it was a nervous chuckle.

if i was a great writer i wouldnt be sitting here, i said and reached into the garbage can and picked up the balled up piece of paper from the wastebasket.

i ironed out the big wrinkles from the paper with my flattened hand and i said, this piece of paper alone is worth a thousand dollars because this you can eBay in a few years for a grand. and if you sign it you will get your name on the back of a book that is nothing if not genuine despite being full of lies. and it is good and it is funny and it will sell and it is the first of its kind and it was written before and after 9/11 and somepeople find interest in those sorts of things.

it is a love story and a spy story and a hollywood story and a bachelor story of a guy who rides a bus and gets laid way more than he should. your porn guys wished they had these sorts of plotlines. it’s the best book you’ll ever get your name on and it’s just the beginning. the sequel has already been written and by saying no to this youre saying no to your one shot at art. i am the fifth artist alive. and regardless what your brother thinks he knows, im not broke.

“you are so delusional.”

not an asshole, no drink.

if you had your name on the back of every Catcher in the Rye you’d be on a tropical island right now and not trying to break the balls of the best thing to walk into this office since your receptionist out there.

“we have an agreement, tony.”

we have nothing. i signed nothing. i didn’t even shake your hand.

“we have a verbal agreement.”

says you, a guy with crumbs in your beard and lies on your tongue. your brother cheats the irs and you cheat your wife. we have no agreement and now i’m going to rip up this deal in three seconds if you don’t sign it and i will never come back here again.

i had my pointy finger on the scrap piece of paper.

was it worth a grand?

i do have a kickass autograph.

it was quiet.

red had stopped fake typing in the waiting room.

one, bigshot.

“you are a hardheaded asshole.”

mmmmm rum.

“you have no idea what you’re walking away from. you don’t have to do anything and you will have books with your name on the spine. books you don’t even have to pay for. books you can give your precious friends.”

oh, i’ll pay, all right.

two, fancypants.

“asshole asshole asshole.”

could he read my mind?!

two and a half.

red giggled.

three!

and i yanked the paper away. stood up and ripped it into quarters and then eighths. i wondered if he would tape it together one day and sell it anyhow. doubt it. i woulda. thompson shot a book with a .33 as an autograph, this woulda been ten times cooler. a ripped up pierce “contract” of his first publishing deal? shit.

i took a square of contract and put my number on it.

left larry calling me names. shut the door and handed the young lady nine numbers that would change her life.

thanks for the water, i whispered in her ear.

dior? i asked.

she nodded.

rode the elevator downstairs to the garage.

2KJA012 was scribbled on my hand. larry shouldn’t leave his parking tickets on his shiny redwood desk.

some asshole might spy it and find his car and let the air out of his volvo.

six days left to pre-order the book

those two girls called me up on sunday afternoon

danielle to see if i had something to do and of course i had something to do. i had to draft a fantasy nba basketball team, i had to watch football, and i had to try to finish reading my book. as if.

sara, who i love, has the best singles ad on her diaryland thing today. it confuses me though, because i thought she wasnt single. is there news i havent heard? does she have an arrangement with her hunky beau? is this just a “found” ad? how could it be? it’s funny.

and wtf is up with her listening to the beatles? its like two thousand and three almost. can we get over the beatles already? i thought she was smart. last time i was over and she and dans pad in frisco they had the best cd collection. dan even bought this super rare teenage fanclub import cd that cost a ton. revolver shes listening to? put back on those whale sounds cd, woman and get back to the light housework.

i am glad she liked mr. deeds though. that movie rules.

angels are in the world series. so where the fuck is welch?

i hear layne is in dc trying to find that sniper. i got a letter for him that was sent via “air mail” from australia., i wen to his crib and knocked on the door and all i heard were two pitbulls scratching at the screen door. will someone tell him that i have a letter for him? whens his birthday anyhow? i think its right about now.

clifton gray is the mysterious amazon wishlist purchaser of the fabulous Quick Chop. feel free to join him in showering me with gifts, friends. tis the season.

kitty b.has a new button. why does that sound like it would make junior highschoolers giggle?

a. beam graced us with several sentences this weekend. lazy ass. i would accuse him of being the dc sniper, but that guy has moved his finger way more over the last week than a. beam has.

i want to see if kate sullivan can write every day. i know she can. i just want to see her do it. f the la weekley for taking your job away. i listened to alternative music yesterday and thought of her.

and finally, thanks to bro who flowed me the $6.66 via PayPal. maybe that number scared the angelic souls who peruse these pixels. if thats the case, heres a link where you can put in your own flowage. p.s. i think the single largest donation ive ever is $50. do i hear $51?

beyonce called again. doesnt that girl ever work?

“i want to renegotiate our deal,” she said.

what deal?

she said, “the deal about you shutting down your site unless you get permanently linked to 100 sites before july 9.”

oh, that deal, i said. no, i like that deal. randy, the only dude who consistantly beats my ass at fantasy sports linked me to day. he has one of those ultra-jewish sites. funny thing about this conflict in the middle east–

“baby baby, sshhhh. i have a new agreement that i think you might like,” she said.

“do you remember when a.beam was saying a few months back that you were #27 of google results for the word “tony“?

yes, i remember that. by the way, i found out today who a.beam was.

“how did you do that?”

well, her real site matched up with her fake site which bisected something on her interview with dawn.

“why do you keep calling a.beam ‘her’?”

cuz he’s a she, im telling you, i figured it out today and im bummed. i wish they had never done that interview. i liked it better when i thought he was jason ross.

“shit, i always thought he was ken basart,” beyonce said.

nah, basart’s too busy sitting in that hot tub up in the hollywood hills reading the Economist like a spazz.

“oh, now listen, tony, focus up. in the last 8 weeks your have climbed into the Tony Top Twenty. right now you’re #19 with a bullet.”

so?

“so?! so youre on the front page, just scroll all the way down to the bottom.”

who cares about Google? what does this mean? how does this affect our deal?

“what i would like to propose is, what if everyone goes to google and types in “tony”, scrolls all the way down and clicks your name, and what if you get in the top ten before july 9?”

i know what you’re saying, and no. i like the deal and i dont wanna be the top ten of anything. especially lame-ass search engine results!

“but lets be reasonable,” beyonce pleaded, “do you really think you’re more popular than Tony Hawk, or Tony Stone graphics, or The Tony Awards?”

Beyonce, i dont care. of course im not more popular than Tony Hawk or the others, im just saying that if you want to change the deal then, i will only accept it if i am the number one Google search result by 7/9, which, by the way is my favorite day of the year, the All-Star Game.

beyonce said, “you suck, but yes, i will try to get people to click you to the top. i guess if Layne can be the number one Ken, you can be the number one Tony.”

and i said, and if i dont get 100 links and im not the number one tony, then i wont feel bad at all for quitting on top, even though i wouldnt really be on top, based on those results.

and then she told me about how short mike myers was and i asked her if she got me a keepsake from the movie to give to Chris and she said that she forgot and i called her a bad name.

45. How Appealing

welcome, groovy kids from Internet Gossip,

lindsay lohan keeping it real one of my favorite sites on the web.

Thank you Harmony, for writing about my ebay auction, I don’t know who you are or how you found my site but I’m glad you did because it’s nice to have so many new readers.

Speaking of readers – or hits – I read one of the comments by one of the people on IG (and another site) disputing my claim to close to 150,000 hits this month– first of all, thats not a lot of hits, secondly thats for my entire site, not just for my links page or my blog. I have a huge site here with many many pages. I put up 20 pages last night, for pete sake, which means if one person goes through them all and ends up on my Blog, that’s 21 hits. I dont think thats a bad thing, I think that means that I can keep the attention of people for a wee bit longer than what you might expect a silly website to provide.

Mostly everything that you will read here is false – like my FBI stories, chats with Mariah Carey, my claims at having good luck, etc. But sometimes people like to try to figure out what parts (other than the stats) are true. I say just sit back and enjoy as it’s all just in good fun.

For the IG readers who are interested in cam girls, I have written a few things about them and allowed them to write about themselves. Dig around my What’s Old section of my links page and you’ll see that I cover a wide array of topics.

Finally for those of you who are looking for reliable web hosting, NSNS hosts me, and will host you too for $5 a month regardless of content. If your site is way more popular than mine and generates a ton more traffic, your rate will probably be $10 a month, but theyre cool people and you should email me if you’re looking for a good host.

Enjoy yourselves and please come back. I try to keep the site fun for all. And if you would like to donate a buck or more to my Snoop DeVille fund, just read here for all the details and one day I might announce driving to your town and I’ll give you a lift to the market. See if you can beat my new best friend JC, who has flowed unto the fund another buck, making the total $4. Thanks bro!

kitty bukkake

breakfast

kitty bukkake is one of my favorite diarists. why?

well, not only is she a great writer, and not only does she link to me from time to time, but she, in her Nerve personal ad, said in the Read section: “tonypierce.com”. How cool is that?

Very cool, if you want to know. Very cool. The rest of you can feel free to include me in your personal ads as well.

Also cool? The chap from NYC who sent in a buck and forwarded the link to the What it Means to Be Black photo essay to everyone he knows. Gracias, amigo.

Heres the link for you to send to all of your friends too:http://www.tonypierce.com/2002/2/bhm/whatitmeans/index.htm

Be a Soul Brother, it’s fun!
