who needs the youth vote when you have women like Gertrude Baines at 114 years young?
although my favorite story was about this dude in Compton who passed out and once he awoke voted before being hauled into an ambulance.
and how folks in southern california are voting?
wanna read tons of posts from your favorite busblogger as he blogs this historic election for LA Now, the LA Times metro desk blog?
then come on over to latimes.com/lanow where i will be blogging all day and into the night.
alot has happened over the last two years. the clintons and the edwardses fell to the freshman senator who literally looked wet behind the ears. rudy and fred and mitt and the preacher fell to the one guy that none of the gop wanted to be their candidate.
after that there were debates, the rise and fall of joe six pack, the surprise special guest star from alaska, and lots of weird details in between.
but the best moment during the campaign, for me, at least, happened on tv, which meant it happened on the youtubes. and that was when barry hussein accepted the democratic nomination on mlk day… and john mccain said congrats.
it was classy, heart-felt, and what competition should be all about.
well done to both these fine men, and may all the votes be counted accurately.
